Our first event - Raspberry Jam in Penzance

Open Shed will host its first event, a Raspberry Jam, on Wednesday 15 August 2012 from 1 to 9pm. It is an event to learn more about, and have some fun with, the Raspberry Pi, which is a credit-card sized computer that plugs into your TV and a keyboard.

It’s a capable little PC which can be used for many of the things that your desktop PC does, like spreadsheets, word-processing and games. It also plays high-definition video. It is intended that people all over the world will use it to learn programming.

Raspberry Jam is a rapidly growing global network of user groups that meet every month to support hobbyists, developers, teachers, students, children and families – in fact, anybody that would like to put their Raspberry Pi to good use. While Raspberry Jam is not endorsed, sponsored or associated with Raspberry Pi or Raspberry Pi products or services, some regular members are volunteers for the Raspberry Pi Foundation. At our meetings we have helpful people who can help you with everything you need to get what you want from your Raspberry Pi.

Head on over to the Open Shed Raspberry Jam event page on Eventbrite to book your place.

If you can't make Wednesday, our members will be enthused and clued-up on Saturday 19th.  We have a few Pis to play with, so come in any time for a demo and hands-on opportunity.
